Foundation Built on
Biblical Truth
AUCA is a Seventh-day Adventist institution of higher learning that nurtures the mental, spiritual, social and physical capacities of its personnel and students through Christ-centered education.

Rooted in the Bible and guided by the teachings of Jesus Christ, our core beliefs and values shape every aspect of university life, fostering a community of faith, excellence, and service.
AUCA is a Seventh-day Adventist institution of higher learning that nurtures the mental, spiritual, social and physical capacities of its personnel and students through Christ-centered education.

These seven foundational values guide our mission, shape our community, and define the character we seek to develop in every graduate.
Informed by the example of Jesus Christ, and by the fundamental beliefs of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, AUCA demonstrates a spirit of unity and connectedness with one another through expression, courtesy, hospitality, shared values and loving communication without respect to ethnic, gender or other differences.
AUCA is a faith-based institution of higher learning. The faith nurtured in the institution is rooted in the teachings of Jesus Christ and in the 28 beliefs of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. While other religious traditions and individual beliefs are respected, the university integrates biblical faith into learning activities.
As a faith-based institution of higher learning, AUCA seeks to combine faith with reason in the pursuit of academic excellence. The university community is called to excel as individuals and as professionals within their respective roles.
Concerned for the good of the community in this life and life to come, the university commits itself to honesty in all relations with students, faculty, staff and administration. Through integrity, we maintain the trust of the surrounding community.
AUCA values and respects the contribution of each member of the university community to the advancement of our mission. We encourage and support each other as colleagues working together for the good of the whole institution.
Inspired by the example of Jesus Christ, AUCA opens workers' and students' hearts to those in physical, spiritual and mental need. We consciously reach out beyond our boundaries to serve others in need with compassion and mercy.
Recognizing the dignity of all persons, AUCA seeks to avoid any acts of injustice and addresses instances of injustice both within and outside of the university community from a stance of informed advocacy and responsible stewardship.
Our beliefs are not merely written statements but living principles that guide every interaction, decision, and initiative at AUCA. From the classroom to the chapel, these values are the foundation upon which we build character and academic excellence.
We operate on the basis of the Seventh-day Adventist worldview, which holds that God is the Creator and Sustainer of the universe and the source of true knowledge.
We believe that true education encompasses the development of the whole person - mental, spiritual, social, and physical - preparing students for service in this world and the next.
"True education means more than the pursuit of a certain course of study. It means more than a preparation for the life that now is. It has to do with the whole being, and with the whole period of existence possible to man."— Ellen G. White, Education, p. 13 —
